WordPress website auditing, content review, launch checklists and reversible replacements.

== Description ==

By Crusader Works — https://crusaderworks.com/

Free tester release. Start on a staging site and keep an independent backup before applying replacements or deleting media.

Persistent scan queues inspect public pages, internal assets, rendered SEO metadata, selected technical settings, and stored branding references. Findings include evidence, priority, URLs, recommendations and review states. Manual launch checks record human approval separately from automated findings.

Search and replace provides dry-run previews, selective field changes, serialized/JSON-aware transformations and transactional checkpoints with conflict-safe rollback. An independent backup is recommended. Optional Node/Playwright browser infrastructure is distributed in the developer toolkit, not required by the PHP plugin.

No paid service or external API is required for core auditing. Email notifications use your site's WordPress mailer. Reports require an administrator account and are generated on demand. This build is English-only and does not support network activation.

== Installation ==

1. Back up and use a disposable test site first.
2. Upload the launchguard-wp ZIP and activate for the site.
3. Open LaunchGuard, configure content terms and budgets, and start an audit.
4. Review coverage, findings, and manual launch checks.

Requires PHP DOM, SimpleXML and JSON extensions, WordPress-supported MySQL/MariaDB with advisory locks, and InnoDB for safe replacement writes. WP-Cron requires traffic or a host scheduler.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Does a perfect score mean the site is safe to launch? =
No. The issue score is an explained calculation over observed open findings. Review coverage and complete manual checks separately.

= Does it change my site during a scan? =
Scans do not edit content or install updates. They read stored content and make bounded public HTTP GET requests. Fixes and replacements require administrator action and confirmation.

= Is mailer success proof of email delivery? =
No. Real recipient delivery must be verified separately. The optional capture-mail runner tests an explicit submission to a test mailbox.

= What happens on deactivation? =
Scheduled events stop. Scans, findings and rollback checkpoints remain in the database. No automatic deletion occurs on uninstall in this build.
